ABOUT

Stonehunter Co. aimed to make a mark in the "World's Largest Marble Fair" held in Izmir in April due to its 9th year in the sector.

Fairs consist of units arranged in a very conventional way in terms of their general structure. These units, which try to put themselves in the foreground by freely designed within volumetrically limited areas, sometimes it cause the user to experience temporary blindness For this reason, Stonehunter Pavilion presents itself to a relatively simple mass to easily attract the attention of the user. By creating a contrast in the area where it is located, it has become quite inviting and increased the awareness of the exhibited products.

The structure, which consists of a 6m steel structure based on the volume limits, it aims to guide the user with the white surfaces covered around it. The completely black interior inside the white outer mass was chosen to gather the product range of different colors and patterns in a single line and to minimize the loss of focus that may occur on the products. It is a steel structure designed by calculating marble and user loads; the system allows both an open terrace used for meeting purposes in the mezzanine floor and an unusual ceiling design. Marble, a building material that stands out with its weight and bulkiness, is hung in 10mm slabs with steel ropes to the ceiling, resulting in a very light and fun appearance.
