ABOUT
Z House; It is a residential structure consisting of 2 independent villas in the Alaçatı region of İzmir. The house is located on a land that can be considered as inclined against the sea at a point very close to the İzmir-Çeşme Road. Z House designed on a land with no sea view and a height difference of approximately 4m2, Z House has been positioned at the highest possible level, enabling it to stand out from the surrounding parcels and create itself. Thanks to this positioning, Z House, which can take a spacious view of the city from above, was able to provide its own privacy despite being sufficiently visible thanks to the composite mass suspended provocatively on its 1st floor.
Contrary to the soft experience offered by the natural stone surface surrounding the ground floor, the aggressiveness of the composite industrial mass suspended away from the naturalness provided a dynamic harmony to the structure. Thanks to the vertical profiles in the composite facade cladding and the semi-reflective effect provided by the material itself, it has created a facade movement that can be differentiated at almost every hour of the day.
